Bio
With over thirty years of immersion in the realm of embodiment, my journey as a professional dancer, yogini, and somatics facilitator has been one of rigour, artistry, and deep dedication. Deeply informed by the philosophical elements of Non-Dual Tantra, Taoism, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, my approach is both nuanced and comprehensive. My practice weaves the multidimensional sensuousness of dance with the disciplined art of Shadow Yoga, the subtle craft of Body-Mind Centering, and the innovative explorations of Embodied Flow.
Drawing inspiration from poetry, cadence, and flow, I explore movement, breath, and the imaginal as portals to awakening. My transmissions are born from my own experiences and incarnate discoveries, as well as my yearnings and questions about being a sensitive, inquisitive human. I aspire to be present and firm while expanding my capacity to hold a broad spectrum of emotions and sensations.
I create spaces where quiescence and revelation unfold simultaneously, allowing our human complexity to coexist with our natural divinity in a way that is both subtle and profound. Through heartfelt, attentive guidance, I cultivate a deeper connection to Soma, the body imbued with soul and sensed from within, helping you feel more at ease and at home within yourself. My offerings are seamless weavings of embodied poetry that invite the mind to surrender its usual grasping, giving way to a state of quietude and embodied insight.
As a mother of three, I bring a sense of maturity and maternal care to my practice. The qualities I cultivate at home—listening, discerning, and holding space—are transposed into my work, enabling me to provide personalized care and attention.
My teachings act as a bridge to embodied awareness, inviting you to journey into unexplored territories of your inner landscape, feeling supported, nourished, and safe enough to awaken to a deeper, more integrated sense of being.
I invite you to cross the threshold into a realm of embodied inquiry, where your mind can rest and your body can slip into a state of ease and availability. Here, the art of yoga and the practice of embodiment coalesce, acting as ushers of remembrance and belonging.
In addition to curating independently and collaborating with like-minded contemporaries, I am honoured to be part of the faculty of the Samavesa School of Yoga and the course Improgeneering at EPFL. These vanguard and creative entities explore the intersection of embodiment with a multitude of other fascinating and thought-provoking domains, allowing my unique stream of creativity and skills to find their place of belonging.
I give thanks and bow to my guides, mentors and muses along the way including Shandor Remete, Emma Balnaves, Alexandra Gilbert, Tara Judelle, Collette Davis, Rosalind Crisp and Julyen Hamilton.
